My time at Florida Repertory Theatre solidified my passion for educating students on the world of theatre. While there, I talked to many students and employees who remained involved in theatre because it meant so much to them. This is the energy I want to bring to any other students I have in the future. Theatre is often perceived as the main performance, but I want to show students that theatre is ultimately about the process. The theatrical process looks different for everyone, but for the students in Fort Myers, it means learning how to make professional and personal relationships, learning about theatre etiquette, and giving an audience something they will never forget.

Becoming an Educator

Once on This Island, Jr., Elf the Musical, Jr., Mean Girls, Jr., Finding Nemo the Musical, Jr.

I spent the summer of 2023 at Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers, FL as a Teaching Artist. This paid internship gave me the opportunity to bond with students dedicated to performing arts, make strong working relationships, and experience working with a professional theatre away from my home state. The summer intensives at Florida Repertory Theatre consisted of the four shows listed above; for each show, there were two weeks of all-day rehearsals every weekday, and each pair of weeks ended with one performance.
